Kazuhisa Mochizuki is a Japanese Certified Public Accountant and Licensed Tax Accountant with more than three decades of experience advising multinational businesses, investors, and entrepreneurial groups on complex cross-border matters involving Japan, China, and the United States.
His experience spans international tax, transfer pricing, audit, M&A transactions, business restructuring, corporate governance, and inbound and outbound investment advisory. Throughout his career, he has advised publicly listed companies, private groups, investment funds, family offices, and fast-growing international businesses navigating regulatory and tax environments across multiple jurisdictions.
Prior to founding Mochizuki Consulting, Kazuhisa held leadership positions within international professional service firms and global accounting networks, where he advised multinational clients on cross-border transactions, regional expansion strategies, and post-acquisition integration projects throughout Asia.
He currently serves as Deputy Chairman of the International Tax Committee of the Japanese Institute of Certified Public Accountants (JICPA), contributing to policy discussions and professional research relating to international taxation and cross-border business operations.

His academic background includes an MBA from the Washington University in St. Louis – Olin Business School and undergraduate studies in Psychology at the Doshisha University.
